Greetings world. Here is our quarterly update. We have had a great fall so far. CO has given us an early taste of winter with a foot of snow and a late reminder of summer with 75 degrees a weak later. Sophie had a blast on Halloween. Thanks again to Aunt Paula for the costume. Susan, Sophie and I had a terrific trip together in Tennessee. The Smoky mountains are beautiful. Sophie really likes waterfalls and tries desperately to stick her feet in any we come across. "Where's the wildlife?"

Family at the beach
Sophie is 1! At the same time it feels as if 10 years has passed, and 10 minutes. Susan and I love looking at pictures like this one and thinking back on how little she was. Now she is getting big and loving learning about everything she can get her hands and mouth on. We think she knew it was her birthday overnight, as she happily babbled and giggled to herself for almost an hour from 2:30 to 3:30 am last night. I think she was reminiscing! Maybe she was just wanted to keep us up again too.

Greetings everyone! Happy New Year. Sophie’s first Christmas was a success. She quickly learned how to open gifts and that everything was for her. It was very cute watching her tear off little pieces of wrapping paper and handing them to Grampy. Hard to believe that Sophie will be one year old soon. I’ll bet she’ll be a pro at unwrapping gifts by then. Hope everyone enjoys the photos at Flickr.

Christmas eve service
It is almost Christmas and Sophie is almost 11 months old! It is about time I added a new post to this page…. Sorry to everyone for being so slow. We are doing very well in CO. It’s finally looking rather wintery out. Some fresh snow and below zero temps. Sophie’s latest achievements are clapping, standing with help, waving and every once and a while putting a spoonful of food directly in her mouth without throwing the food over her shoulder or grabbing it to smear in her hair with the other hand! How fun. She is growing so fast it is hard to believe. Sophie’s Grandma JoAnn has been with us the last week or so to join in the fun and Nonnie and Grampy from CT will be here for Christmas. Greetings World! Well, believe it or not, our little Sophie is 4 months old….crazy. Month three was a little different than we had planned and little more stressful that maybe it should have been, as probably everyone knows. Thanks to everyone out there for the kind thoughts and prayers. Our little Sophie made it through her surgery with flying colors and continues to be a very happy smiley baby! She’ll be on the O2s for a little while longer as she continues to recover (surgery was already 6 weeks ago) but we are all getting used to it. She is getting very close to rolling over, grabbing her feet and sitting up on her own. She always looks very proud of herself sitting on our laps looking around holding her own head up. That’s right…less than a month until Baby Walker arrives… We are very excited, and feel almost partly ready! Here is another picture of the beautiful mom to be at 36 Weeks:
Well there are now officially only 8 weeks left before my due date of February 1st! Dave and I are really excited and are busily preparing for the big day and all of the days after that. A lot of work goes into getting ready for our new addition. We are finishing the jungle themed nursery and are in the middle of painting a huge a jungle mural on one wall. I am still feeling great and the doc says that I am right on track with everything and am looking great! You can see in the picture below that I am getting bigger by the minute- and I love it! I think Dave and I are both totally amazed by the changes in my belly- we can now see the baby moving since it is putting on some ounces in there and getting bigger and more cramped- that is fun to watch. We will keep you updated!

Greetings all! Sorry that we have been slow to keep this up to date, but these things happen. Susan is still feeling and looking great! She is around 31 weeks pregnant…(that’s about 7 months I think). February 1st will be here before we know it. Since the last update, we had lots of family visit: Susan’s Aunt Jane and Uncle Gene came to spend a weekend, Susan’s Mom and Sister came to spend about a week and put on a big party for Susan, and My Mom, Dad, Sister and Niece were all in attendance. There are lots of photos from the shower and both family weekends at our Flickr site (click the blue text). You may have to sort through a bunch of other fun pictures first. Our friend Jessica arranged a behind the scenes tour at the Denver Zoo the day after Thanksgiving! We got kisses from a sea lion (she was Gidget, the one who picks Broncos games on TV), got to feed giraffes and a rhino and got to sneak timidly by a bunch of lions…. So there are a bunch of photos from the tour on Flickr as well. Enjoy!
